          JTM rental policy (RTO option no longer available as of 2021):

          Option-to-Buy (OTB): Our Option-to-Buy requires rental payments in 3 month increments, a one-time cleaning fee ($20.00) and a refundable security deposit* (typically $49.00-99.00*, depending on instrument type); any extra month(s) of rental payment beyond the school year term may be refunded. If you decide to purchase a new instrument anytime after 3 months from rental start date, your security deposit will be applied towards the JTM Buy-Now new instrument price. You are welcomed to continue renting beyond the normal rental period (during summer vacation and beyond) with no need to renew the contract. *Security deposit will be refunded to you once contract terms are met; rental items returned no earlier than the end-of-school year term and rent paid on time.

          Rent-to-Own (RTO): A true rent-to-own operates more like a payment plan. Once your rental application is approved*, you can choose how long you want the payment plan to last (i.e. 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, etc.); keeping in mind that the payment-plan service charge increases slightly with each quarter (each 3-month period). A minimum of 20% down payment will be required at the beginning of the RTO contract and payments to begin the following month after that.

          *20% down payment is standard for RTOs, as is the minimum $59-99 deposit for OTBs; these may change according to your application and/or credit check; we may or may not require a credit check ($10.00 credit check processing fee will apply).
